Quarter 4 Reflections: Insights and Highlights from Our Last 13 Guests of 2024

With Host Wayne Brown

ET-140: A conversation with your host Wayne Brown

and your host Wayne Brown on December 31, 2024

Episode notes: A conversation with your host Wayne Brown

Hello and welcome to the ET Project. I’m your host, Wayne Brown, and as usual, we’re delighted to be delivering this podcast for executive talent all over the world whom we’re affectionately referring to as Team ET.

Today, it’s the end of another quarter. But even bigger it’s the very last day of 2024.

And it means only 359 days until we welcome Santa Claus again.

WOW what an interesting year it has been. Putting aside wars, international conflicts, crazy sanctions, and one of the busiest years I can recall with elections around the globe.

In business and economics we started the year with the World Economic Forum speaking about the Future of Growth Framework amidst a sluggish global economy.

And we watched a noticeable growing trend – the increasing reliance on AI to make major decisions particularly being utilized by governments which may surprise man listeners. (worrying or not only time will tell) but for business leaders you will need to prepare yourself for a changing of the business rules that much I’m very confident.

The question on every leader’s mind is no doubt what will 2025 bring. Well the wait is over and tomorrow we find out.

Today’s Guests: All 13 from Quarter 4, 2024

All leaders we speak with have a cautious sense of optimism, believing the worst to be behind them.

And a given is that as we do every year we’ll continue on unabated remaining agile and seeking ways to pivot and thrive regardless of what is thrown at us..

In the last quarter the ET project experienced a first also with our first baker’s dozen of guests.

Instead of our regular 12 guests, it turned out that Oct 1 was a Tuesday and today Dec 31 also, which meant 14 episodes and 13 guests.

So, we were blessed to engage with even more amazing leaders and if you tuned in last week what a wonderful way to celebrate that and join Santa on his journey than with our final guest of 2024, Mr John Dwyer.

Our 13 guests

Today, we are going to look back over that 2024 4th quarter line-up, and touch on the highlights of those conversations. Are you ready?

If so, let’s jump in and get started.

Final words from Wayne:

From tomorrow we kick off 2025 and the start of the longest of our four Challenges.

In fact, we call The Ultimate 5-day Challenge and the topic is “Master the Art of Stakeholder Empowerment”

Then in February we host a Virtual Mastermind – 4 x 2 hour sessions to immerse you.

And then capping off Qtr. 1 of 2025 in March is our next Masterclass.

So, if you thought we haven’t been busy enough then come and check out the next quarters activities.

Now with that TEAM ET we have reached the end of this recap. Hopefully this short review has triggered some fond memories and perhaps flagged an episode that you wish to go back to for a second listen.

As we move now into the start of quarter 1 in 2025, we have another exciting line up of guests waiting to join us and share their stories, insights and wisdom.

Hoping to see you again next week when we get started with the queen of luxury business market Ms. Elizabeth Solaru.

Until then, enjoy the end of year celebrations, happy new year for tomorrow. stay safe, stay healthy and bye for now.

And with that where back now for the final group and as mentioned earlier this time we round out with four guests.

Hopefully you can sense the enormous value on offer here as we work our way through these amazing people.

My hope is that these conversations are bringing you equal enjoyment and learning.

I know that my knowledge continues to grow exponentially as a result of this opportunity.

So our final four guests in order of appearance on the show were,

  • Ms. Kanchan Chanana
  • Mr. Craig Meriwether
  • Ms. Bessi Graham and
  • Mr. John Dwyer

For our 10th guest this quarter we’re off to somewhere special. To a city called Lausanne, located on the northern shore of Lake Geneva in Switzerland to chat with our guest Ms. Kanchan Chanana.

Kanchan describes herself as an observer, curious and a striving human, who’s actively broken given norms, rules, and excuses for the past two decades to unlock the other side of being.

“She is a first-generation professional in STEM and management.

However, growing up came with considerable challenges, from the many norms, beliefs, and rules that she felt suffocated by.

Mentions of money for example were out of the question.

Her academic journey proved adventurous, starting in an all-girls government school and deciding to pursue Mechanical Engineering, where she was the only girl in a class of fifty.

Her professional career started in the male dominated world of automotive procurement.

And you’ll need to listen to the full episode to learn more.

Check out the promo track

INSERTION OF EPISODE ET135 – TEASER VIDEO/AUDIO

For our next guest we’re heading to Arizona and interestingly not the arid hot plains we hear the most about, but a city in the northern ranges of the state called Flagstaff. And we are connecting with Mr. Craig Meriwether.

Craig is a mindset coach helping people eliminate negative emotions and trauma so they can reach their full potential.

Craig is a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Medical Hypnosis Specialist, Neuro-linguistic programming specialist, and Founder of Arizona Integrative Hypnotherapy helping people eliminate the limiting beliefs that may be keeping them from reaching their true potential.

If you want tips on how to ace your next test check out this track.

INSERTION OF EPISODE ET136 – TEASER VIDEO/AUDIO

For our penultimate guest we’re heading back to Melbourne, Australia and meeting up with Ms. Bessi Graham and chatting with her about a subject she is more than just passionate about, she is invested in.

With nearly 25 years’ experience working with business owners, governments, and large funding bodies to merge money and meaning, Bessi’s experience spans from the grassroots of sitting in the dirt working with business owners across the Pacific Islands through to the United Nations in Geneva.

This has given her an unparalleled perspective.

As an entrepreneur, business owner, Angel, Venture Capital and Impact Investor, Philanthropist, Coach and Advisor, Bessi has done everything.

I enjoyed this conversation a lot and here a taste of the promo track.

INSERTION OF EPISODE ET137 – TEASER VIDEO/AUDIO

I know these recaps are short and sweet but they are only meant to serve as memory joggers that help trigger those forgotten conversations. So without further ado let’s recap our final guest of Qtr 4.

To do so, we’re heading home, literally with-in stones throw of our place on the Gold Coast, in Australia and chatting with an extraordinary individual, a man who is an international  Marketing enigma.

We had the pleasure of speaking with and learning from Mr. John Dwyer.

John is a “direct response customer attraction expert” who thinks way outside the box.

His marketing consultancy business is called The Institute Of Wow – & John’s mantra is that one’s marketing needs to “wow” prospects.

He’s also the guy who shocked the marketing world some years back when he convinced Jerry Seinfeld to come out of retirement to be the spokesman for an Australian banking institution.

Jerry headed up a “free vacation campaign” which broke home loan lending records and remains folklore in the global banking industry.

Absolutely no better way to end of the year 2024.

Check it out and judge for yourself.

INSERTION OF EPISODE ET139 – TEASER VIDEO/AUDIO

From tomorrow we kick off 2025 and the start of the longest of our four Challenges.

In fact, we call The Ultimate 5-day Challenge and the topic is “Master the Art of Stakeholder Empowerment”
