Hello and welcome to the ET Project. I’m your host, Wayne Brown, and as usual, we’re delighted to be delivering this podcast for executive talent all over the world whom we’re affectionately referring to as Team ET.

Today, it’s the end of another quarter. Can you believe Quarter 2 for 2024. This not only means we are officially at the halfway point of the year, but also that it’s my turn once again to fly solo as we review the previous 12 guests who graciously shared their time and insights with all of us in the past 3 months – April through June.

And as is always the case when I’m doing these recaps, I’m sitting in my studio here in Shanghai and reflecting very briefly on the journey with each guest.

Today’s Guests: All 12 from Quarter 1, 2024

We have had 12 amazing leaders join us and therefore as we do for every 13th week of the quarter, today we are going to look back over our line-up and touch on the highlights of the conversations.

Alright so, let’s jump in and get started. By now you may be familiar with the approach – we chunk our 12 episodes into 4 groups of 3 weeks at a time – i.e. batches of 3 guests per group.

And thanks to our brilliant marketing team we’re able to incorporate each of the promotional intros to save you listening to my wonderfully crafted radio friendly voice the entire time.

Podcast script – Episode 107, Wrap for Qtr. 2, 2024

Hello, I’m your host Wayne Brown and welcome to the ET PROJECT. We’re delighted to be delivering this podcast for executive talent all over the world whom we’re affectionately referring to as TEAM ET.

So here we go with our first three guests –

  • Dr Benah Parker
  • Mr. Colin Corby
  • Ms. Sue Firth

Let’s trip back to the beginning of April where we first met Dr. Parker… This was my first trip Pheonix, Arizona in the United States so I was just a little excited.

Dr. Parker is a social psychologist, executive coach, and business consultant, who helps high-performing leaders identify their blind spots and uncover what’s missing so they can transform their life and career to feel aligned with their own goals, have boundaries and balance, and get their life back.

Benah works with entrepreneurs and leaders from national non-profits and Fortune 500 companies to move the needle on desired outcomes.

Whether the goal is organizational transformation, professional growth, or personal development, she integrates applied psychology to help leaders live a life that is aligned with their dreams.

A great way to start off the quarter and here is a taste of the conversation between Dr. Parker and me.

Rounding out our second group, as well as taking us to the halfway mark is our guest from across the waterways in Atlanta of the United States, Mr. Dale Gauthreaux. This is a special episode for several reasons. Firstly, it marked our 100th episode of the ET Project podcast and I was so happy to have the chance of spending the time chatting with Dale.

  • Ms. Julie Williamson
  • Mr. Utkarsh Narang
  • Ms. Juliette Denny

Let’s start with Julie Williamson and episode 101. And for this we are back in Denver, Colorado and based on how many of our guests are located in this city, I’m starting to get a sense for why this region is so popular. Julie is the Managing partner at the Karrikin Group.

In addition to being co-owner of this organization Julie is an experienced keynote speaker and published author. You can check out her book on Amazon which is titled – Matter: Move beyond the Competition, create more value and become the obvious choice.

Julie is a leading voice in how alignment can transform leaders and organizations,

and she has worked around the world with some of the largest companies, helping them set and execute on strategy and transformation. I found this conversation particularly insightful and wrote a short post on the topic of Executive Alignment soon after.

Please enjoy this extract from our discussion.

INSERTION OF EPISODE ET101 – TEASER VIDEO/AUDIO

Next up is Mr. Utkarsh Narang and we catch up in Melbourne, Australia. Utkarsh is the Founder and CEO of IgnitedNeurons which I think is a cool name.

Utkarsh holds certifications as a Happiness Coach from the Berkeley Institute of Well-Being and as a NeuroLinguistic Programming (NLP) Coach.

I love the TEDTalk that Utkarsh did not too long ago and found the analogies and metaphors very striking.

Have a listen to a segment of the conversation with Utkarsh.

INSERTION OF EPISODE ET102 – TEASER VIDEO/AUDIO

Alright so why interrupt a great flow – we’ll keep the music coming. Not sure you would refer to my voice as music to your ears, but you’ll get my meaning, I’m sure.

We have reached our final guest in this 3rd group, and I’m morphing into an AI bot popping up in cities across Europe and the UK in an effort to keep pace with Ms. Juliette Denny.

Juliette is a learner engagement expert with almost 20-years of experience innovating in the learning tech space.

She has an unrivalled passion for learner engagement and offers unparalleled insight when it comes to learning and development best practice.

She is considered a pioneer and an expert in applying gamification and social functionality to online learning.

My hope is that the conversations are bringing you equal enjoyment and learning. I know that my knowledge continues to grow exponentially as a result of this opportunity.

So our final three guests in order of appearance on the show were,

  • Mr. Daniel Hauge
  • Ms. Ursula Eysin
  • Mr. David Roylance

For our 10th guest I’m visited the Central Region of Denmark to chat with Mr Daniel Hauge.

As well as being an entrepreneur, Daniel is a #1 bestselling author with his book titled:

“The Cure for Mediocrity: Create Wealth, Achieve Freedom, and Live the World-class Lifestyle.”

Incredibly he released this book at the age of 17 – that’s 7 years ago and is currently considering producing an updated version.

From dropping out of high school and being involved in crime and drug abuse to now being the founder of Passion 4 Achievement, Daniel leads an organization helping thousands of entrepreneurs across the world maximize performance in and out of business.

He is obsessed with personal growth, entrepreneurship, and the relationship between them.

He believes everyone can build their version of a world-class life, and he aims to help as many entrepreneurs as possible achieve exactly that.

Did I mention that at the time of the recording Daniel as only 24. He has certainly been through and done a lot for someone so young.

Please have a listen to our excerpt from that conversation.

INSERTION OF EPISODE ET104 – TEASER VIDEO/AUDIO

Our penultimate guest this quarter is stationed Vienna, Austria. Yes, that’s right the home of Sigmund Frued Weiner Schnitzel and the Danube, but I’m not here for any of that. Today we are chatting with Ms. Ursula Eysin.

Ms. Eysin used to work as a production manager, moderator, and presenter in theater, opera, film & TV before becoming a passionate technology consultant and communication professional.

As a sinologist she’s fluent in Mandarin and several other languages. Ursula’s broad knowledge and experience enabled her to not only develop new business ideas, but to also create the right story, vision and action steps around it.

She is an expert in the strategic future process “scenario thinking”, the creation of new business models, innovation, technology transfer, business development, and strategic communication.

I truly enjoy all of our conversations but this one resonated very closely to my own areas of expertise and interest. Here is a portion of that conversation.

INSERTION OF EPISODE ET105 – TEASER VIDEO/AUDIO

I know these recaps are short and sweet but they are only meant to serve as memory joggers that help trigger those forgotten conversations. So with out further ado let’s recap on our final guest of Qtr 2.

And I’m visiting Beech, in the county of Hampshire in south-east England to connect with our guest Mr David Roylance.

So who is David Roylance? Well he’s an Amazon best-selling author, award winning coach and the CEO of 2 businesses and provides business support to several others.

He is Europe’s No 1 smasher of the glass ceiling. His client base is typically women in senior roles in large corporates who find that the strategies they used to get the role they have now are not helping them get further up the management chain.

What they get from David are the secrets of how your voice and body resonates so you can show up and shine.

In December 2020 David was recognized as one of the top 40 influencers in the world by the Women in Banking and Finance Group for his assistance in helping women get promoted into the board room.

His career began working as a professional actor and theatre director working alongside notables such as 007, Obi Wan Kenobi and the character Sergent Nicholas Brody of Homeland.

See in this conversation you’ll see that I even try my hand at reciting a few lines from Romeo and Juliette – what can say other please listen.
